(Updated from 2018)
So, hello.
It's been awhile since we have found ourselves here.
Saying hello...like an old crush.
If you are new here and have no idea what a "hello" is, then let me introduce you to Lisa Leonard over at
Lisa Leonard Blog and Lisa Leonard Designs Inc.
It was through Lisa's blog that I was introduced to "hellos".
I loved it, I adopted it.
More recently I "met" another blogger with a theme: "Spending" months. In essence, Chelsea, over at
The Girl Who Loved To Write blog, gives us ideas of how to "spend" our month:
highlights, suggestions, traditions, and must-dos!
Can I adopt this as well?
Golly, I want to!
So, beginning with credits, go check out Lisa and Chelsea and send them some blogging love!
Loved these this summer...did I share these yet?
I am still in the midst of the
100 Days to Brave blogging challenge (day 86!), and I am thinking...
Hello Sundays and Spending months beginning 2019?
All kudos to the girls ^^
Really, check them out.
So...hello new goals!
Hello fun kicks!
The boys all got high tops and I just couldn't resist this.

Hello shelf! I saw you at Natalie's and I just knew I needed to love have you!

Hello, Good-byes! Today I write my new Blog Bio. Here's a glance at the last one:
THIS IS ME
It's May and it's 2018. As I sit here, wondering how to tell this story of who I am in this small box, I stop. It is not easy work.
Today I love lilacs: the way they look and smell. And in the mornings I read a mommy devotional and swish coconut oil around in my mouth before my three young sons rise and find me.
This year is one of great expectations: bullet journaling, meal planning, and making this house a home. Our home.
My name is Shannon, a.k.a. Mommy McFive.
I am blessed and I know it...but not in ways you may suppose. My husband, Big Strong Man, and I attend marriage counseling. We curse there and I cry.
Our sons are 3, 5, and 7. They are loud and fun and precious- when they aren't breaking stuff and blaming it on one another.
There are many insecurities I hold, but I am learning to hold them more loosely. Someday I long to see them fly away like dandelion seeds in a breeze.
Until then, I write about my life. Books I am reading, thoughts I am thinking. I struggle and I love Jesus- though I struggle with struggling while loving Jesus. Also, I share the many, many good sensations I am honored to witness- not the least of these a Spring filled with color and fragrance.
Welcome here, first time visitors and recurring friends. I am grateful for you all.
yours, gomommyblogger
Hellos are a great way to remember some of the highlights of the year.
Do you blog? Do you post Hellos?
What a great idea, Lisa!
Thanks,
