If Mrs. Harrell Comes A-Knockin' (Thatcher and Mommy's "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie" Redition)

We have to keep our tablets at school now, Mrs. Harrell said so.

Is it because the school year is almost over?

Yes.

I suppose, if you brought it home and forgot to return it, Mrs. Harrell would have to come to our house to get it back. And if Mrs. Harrell knocks on our door...

We should invite her in for cookies!
And milk, too!

If we give her cookies and milk, she'll likely want a straw.

After she enjoys her snack, she may feel sleepy.

She'll ask to rest her eyes and we'll give her a blanket.

If we give her a blanket, she'll snooze for a while. We'll be extra quiet.

When she wakes up, Mrs. Harrell will be refreshed and excited!
If she is refreshed and excited, she may want to be on her way.

We'll show her to the door and when we do so, we'll stand there and wave as she backs up.

She's a good teacher, we'll say, as she drives away.

It will only be after her lights fade at which time we'll notice something on our desk.

That something will be your school tablet.

If we still have the tablet, Mrs. Harrell will be back.

And when she returns, we'll have cookies and milk a-waiting!

We love you, Mrs. Harrell!!

Thank you for sharing all these wonderful memories with us!
