Fourth of July mantle

The Fourth of July has come...and gone...but I have proof that, at House McFive, we conquered it!

So...disclaimer...I am SO NOT a good cook. I don't even like cooking.
But I want my boys to having something that will never quite be "like moms".
Ray and Robert have Marie's cooking, after all, and neither Deborah nor Amy can hold a candle to her...so me, well, I want this decorating -this crafty thing- to be my thing...or at least something my boys remember fondly.

This is why I obsessively post pictures of my mantles. For me, yes, and you, yes, but also so my boys can reminisce.

                                                     Happy 4th bunting, Hobby Lobby
                                                                     red easel, Target

Loved this idea I stole off Pintrest (know the source? please share!)
What a GREAT way to change out artwork and minimalize holes in
the wall and tape stuck everywhere!
(Star Spangled Banner print off found ...)
(Dear clip boards-on-the-walls and hecka-cute S.S.B. creators... I did not mean to steal your craft and not give you credit. Please let me know who you are and I will give you proper credit!)

Monthly signs: Dollar Tree (only $1, ya'll!)
(red, white, and blue hand wreath and poem found ... and here)
(Dear hand wreath creator. I did not mean to steal your craft and not give you credit. Please let me know who you are and I will give you proper credit!)

Q-tip fourth of July! My boys and I  did this two years ago and it
is holding up well! (idea, here)
